PUBG New State announced: 5 things you should know about this PUBG Mobile sequel

Here is everything we know about the PUBG Mobile sequel.

HIGHLIGHTS

• PUBG Mobile successor is called PUBG: New State

• PUBG New State trailer tells us about some new gameplay mechanics, maps, and improved graphics

• PUBG New State isn't available for download in India just yet

PUBG New State release has been officially announced by PUBG Studio and Krafton. The new battle royale game is the successor to the extremely popular PUBG Mobile and will be available for Android and iOS users. We reported earlier that a PUBG Mobile sequel was in the works and that it would arrive next week. It turns out that Krafton had a surprise in store for us and dropped the PUBG: New State pre-registration trailer this week. Outside of the trailer, little more is known about what PUBG New State has in store for us. Here's everything we know about the all-new PUBG Mobile sequel.

PUBG New State pre-order trailer

The PUBG New State trailer confirms some speculation we made about the title. For starters, the game is set in the future (2051, to be precise). There's a new map too, set in a dystopian setting. PUBG New State's official Google Play Store listing says that is 8x8 in size. Several new vehicles have been introduced, including an ATV (all-terrain vehicle). The selection of guns is more or less the same, but we can expect the developers to add new ones as time passes. New gameplay mechanics include acquiring supplies via a drone and an expandable shield that can be deployed to block enemy fire. As expected, the graphics are significantly better than that of the original PUBG Mobile. This is all we know about PUBG New State gameplay at the moment.

PUBG New State pre-registration link

Although PUBG New State has a Google Play Store listing, there appears to be no option to pre-register in India. PUBG New State pre-order link on the Apple App Store is yet to go live. Those outside India who are able to pre-order the game will receive exclusive benefits such as a limited vehicle skin. Krafton could solicit community help to beta test the game sometime in the future. It is common for developers to beta test a game rigorously before a public release.

Is PUBG New State free?

A massive part of the original PUBG Mobile's success could be attributed to its free-to-play model. Unlike other mobile games' blatantly play to win mechanics, PUBG Mo

bile levelled the playing field by offering cosmetic-only microtransactions. PUBG: New State's Google Play Store page says that it will have in-game microtransactions, but the game should be free to download much like PUBG Mobile.

Will PUBG New State run on my phone?

PUBG New State requires devices running Android 6.0 or higher and at least 2.5GB of RAM. There is no mention of SoC requirements just yet, but those should be revealed soon. Looking at the visual fidelity that PUBG New State has to offer, it has the potential to push even the beefiest gaming smartphone to its limits. Krafton is pretty adept at optimizing its games for older/entry-level smartphones, but the experience might not be optimal. As it stands now, PUBG: New State should run properly on most modern-day smartphones, but we can't promise the same on some older devices.

Is PUBG New State available in India?

Due to the PUBG Mobile ban in India, it seems it will be a while before PUBG New State releases in the country. To recall, Krafton announced PUBG Mobile India game that is yet to get the green light for launch. Since there is no word yet on the PUBG Mobile India launch, it's unclear when PUBG New State will arrive even though China-based Tencent is no longer the publisher. The Google Play Store listing is bereft of any option to pre-register for the game, but that option should pop up soon if things change in favour of Krafton. Keep an eye out on the official PUBG New State website to find out about new developments.

PUBG Mobile India launch: When it is coming, what is happening, and everything we know so far

PUBG Mobile India is set to launch in India soon, along with several changes to the game that will allay the fears of the government and Indian parents.

HIGHLIGHTS

• PUBG Mobile India was supposed to launch on November 20 but no signs yet.

• PUBG Corporation will need a clearance from the government for the relaunch of the game.

• PUBG Mobile India will have several changes that will allay fears.

PUBG Mobile India is coming to give a legal way for players     to enjoy the battle royale in India but when that will happen is not clear. Rumours were rife that the Indian version of PUBG Mobile will launch as early as November 20, which is today but no signs yet. PUBG Mobile India, however, has gained a strong presence online: it has a dedicated website that keeps saying the game is coming, and the Facebook and YouTube pages the company has got its new game made. So, when is PUBG Mobile India coming? What is happening on the company’s part?
The company that owns the game, PUBG Corporation, decided to relaunch PUBG Mobile albeit after making some notable changes to the game and its backend, in an attempt to allay the fears various sections of the society and the government had expressed while banning the previous version. PUBG Mobile was banned in India because it had its roots running to China’s Tencent Games -- a decision that came riding over the anti-China sentiment following the clash at the border. After the ban, the game was playable until the servers were shut down by the previous publisher. But PUBG Corporation gave the game a new lease of life.
PUBG Corporation announced that it is relaunching the PUBG Mobile as PUBG Mobile India. The announcement was made in the Diwali week -- something that was a part of the company’s marketing strategy to popularise the game ahead of its formal entry. This formal entry, however, is nowhere to be seen after around 10 days since the first announcement. Not like the company had given any formal date for the launch of its new game, but rumours were rife that PUBG Mobile India might get introduced to the app marketplaces by November 20.

What is happening with PUBG Mobile India launch?

Getting a clearance from the government will rely on several changes that PUBG Corporation has made to the game.

The first one is the data localisation of its users. PUBG Corporation’s parent company Krafton inked a deal with Microsoft to store the user data on Azure Cloud servers, some of which are installed in India. This would mean that the data of Indian users will be stored on these servers, which is in line with the government’s data localisation policy.

The second one pertains to the tweaking of visual elements in the game. PUBG Corporation is replacing blood with a green liquid that will sputter when an enemy is shot dead. This is essentially a measure that is inclusive of the censorship meant to curb the display of violence, which becomes even more important considering the age group some of the players belong to. A major fraction of these players are underage and should not be exposed to bloodshed or violence in visuals. Another change is that the avatars will now be fully-clothed all the time, unlike previously when players would set to play matches half-naked. The government will consider this change.

The third one allays the concerns that most Indian parents and medical experts have had. The game was infamous for making players addicted to it, impacting their health adversely as players would sit for hours twitching their thumbs and fingers. PUBG Corporation is now introducing a time limit for players, beyond which the game will issue alerts. It is not immediately clear whether there will be a need for authentication to bypass this restriction or whether this will be merely for reminding purposes. For what it is worth, PUBG Corporation is trying to appease parents and it might end up being convincing enough for medical experts too. The reason why this is important is that the government might consult medical experts before taking a decision to allow the game again. And if medical experts are convinced, the government will have no reason to object at least on the health part.

Is the relaunch confirmed?

I am not sure when the company will launch PUBG Mobile India but this might take place soon. PUBG Corporation was seen opening pre-registrations for the game on Tap Tap gaming community. It has already released teasers for the upcoming PUBG Mobile India featuring Dynamo and other top players from India. The web properties for the game are fully functional, although without a concrete piece of information, which is awaited.

Among Us (later known as Among Us 1) is an online sci-fi murder-mystery game by Innersloth, and was released on June 15, 2018, on iOS, Android, and Steam on August 18, 2018. The game is set in a spaceship, which contains a group of crew members where there is, among them, an impostor who wants to sabotage the ship and kill everyone, where they must do the tasks and find out who the impostor is.

Among Us is set in The Skeld, which is the main map of the game set in a spaceship. Starting in 2019, two new maps were launched: Mira HQ, which is set on a space base, on August 8, 2019, and Polus, which is set on a planet, on November 12, 2019. Starting in 2020, was considered by Innersloth a complete game, and as of June 11, 2020, the two new maps, which were previously paid for, were released, both for mobile and PC, for free for players to host. Among Us, according to the company, is scheduled to be available by 2021. In addition, many goods, such as T-shirts, toys, have been announced and launched.

Gameplay

The premise of Among Us is quite simple: you are one of 4 to 10 players on a space ship. One of these is an Impostor whose main goal is to kill everyone else. The remainder of the players are part of the regular crew who are just trying to escape unharmed. To do this, they have to complete several tasks or (better yet) find the Impostor and vote them out Survivor-style. If they are successful, the Crew wins. If the Impostor manages to kill them all, he or she wins.

The free map, Skeld, has 14 different rooms that are connected by 7 hallways. Everyone spawns in the Cafeteria and, depending on the host's settings, as well as on RNG, Crewmates have to visit some or most of the other rooms to complete their tasks. While Impostors do not have tasks as their specific objectives, they can fake “completing” certain activities as a way to gain everyone else's trust. Every user has a chance to call an emergency meeting or, upon seeing a dead body, to report it to everyone else. For the mobile release, discussions are only possible during these time-limited events.

If you are an Impostor, your main goal is to convince others that you did not do it, while the Crew has to spot you out. Since it is a voting system where the person with the most votes gets eliminated from the game, it does not really matter who does what. Instead, your argumentative powers are what makes a difference. To sway people in one direction or another, you have to be prepared to make your case as convincingly as possible. There is a short time-limit, so you either have to present very strong evidence or come up with a believable narrative that will take others off your trail.[1]

When you are killed by the Impostor, you become a ghost. Although you cannot interact or discuss with others, you can help them complete tasks. They will not be able to see you, though.

Overview

Among Us takes place on a space ship in outer space. There are two teams: the Impostors and the Crewmates. There can be a total of 10 players in an online game, with up to three impostors. The Impostors' objective is to eliminate all Crewmates using either aggressive, defensive, or passive tactics before the Crewmates complete all of their tasks or discover their true identity. The Crewmates' objective is to complete all of their tasks while figuring out who the Impostor is.

Characters

Main article: Skins, Hats, and Pets

Colors

Players can choose from a total of 12 colors. These include Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Orange, Yellow, Black, White, Purple, Brown, Cyan, and Lime. Players may also choose from different skins, hats, and pets to alter cosmetic appearance.

Customizations

Skins

Skins were added in 2019, which includes several clothes like police, white hat, military, captain, and among others. New skins were also added during the MIRA HQ release: one for chemists and one for security, and also for the launch of the Polus map: one in cold clothing and the other in mining. The skins are paid on the cell phone, and on the computer, you get it after purchasing the game. When the two maps were released, the exclusive skins for each map were only obtained after purchasing the map, even with the latest update and weeks for free, the skins for both maps were still paid for. Also, skins include hats.

Hats

Hats were added in the 2018.10.10 version of the game, which included several hats for players to customize the character, such as caps, masks, among others. In the Halloween updates, Among Us received new hats, such as Jason's mask, demon horns, a knife, among others. In addition, in the special Christmas updates, it also received new hats, such as a Santa Claus hat, an antlers, among other different hats.

In version 2019.5.28, new hats were added, including 5 hats for free and a paid pack of 8 hats on mobile and free on computer. On June 11, 2020, new hats were added, such as balloons, masks, tufts, among others.

Maps

The Skeld (2018)

The Skeld is the first map of Among Us, being the only free map in the game. It is set in a spaceship, where the crew are making their journey through space, and they must find out who the impostor is among them.

MIRA HQ (2019)

Mira HQ is the second map in the game. Unlike the other, the map was released as paid content and is set on a space station.[2] It was officially announced on August 3, 2019, and was released on August 8, 2019.

Polus (2019)

Polus is the third map of the game, announced on November 1, 2019, and released on November 12, 2019. It consists of a purple planet, with different constructions. This map does not contain ventilation systems for the Impostor, but holes that connect the different buildings.

Future

On January 6, 2020, developers chat that "we thought it was a completed game twice in the past as we came back to add online multiplayer and two new maps. But as of the Polus release, we're sure that Among Us is a complete game. There are always things that people want and things we could potentially add, but Among Us was always intended to be a small game and we are just a team of three people with one programmer. So because we've already added a lot to a small game, the difficulty of adding new features and content is now very high. You all can see this difficulty in terms of bugs that seemingly never get fixed. Adding more things would undoubtedly add more bugs. So from now on, we are not adding more to Among Us. There will be a few bug-fix-only updates and a plan of price changes, then we will let Among Us take its natural course." Then, they intended that Among Us servers would run until "at least 2021. Probably longer." They also said "We will announce if we are stopping the servers and provide some alternative," so the game will probably be able to be self hosted.

INDIA BAN WORRY: CALL OF DUTY ENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH TENCENT

INDIA BAN WORRY: CALL OF DUTY ENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH TENCENT

Call of Duty:Mobile makers Activision parted ways with the Chinese conglomerate. The game developers have already severed all of its ties to Tencent before they rolled out the season nine update in previous month. Apparently, this move has saved Call of Duty:Mobile to evade the banhammer in which 119 Chinese apps, including PUBG Mobile were banned.

Confirmed by GamingonPhone, Activision has parted ways with the Chinese conglomerate Tencent and their subsidiary TiMi studios. The rumours started rising when the game changed its loading screen. The screen which earlier boasted the names of Tencent and TiMi studios were removed and was replaced by Activision.

TRUMP’S EXECUTIVE ORDERS AGAINST TENCENT
The spokesperson cited that the first main reason was President Trump’s orders that restricted US companies from conducting transactions with Tencent and its subsidiaries. Activision is a US based company and did not want these orders to affect their mobile title in any way. Later a clarification was released that the orders were imposed on certain sectors and not on the entirety of Tencent but Activision played it safe and parted ways with them.

PUBG MOBILE RIPPING OFF FEATURES FROM COD MOBILE
According to the report, PUBG Mobile was copying various features from Call of Duty Mobile. The famous feature and modes like Gun Game, Aerial platforms and various locations were copied. Above all of this, the game “claimed that the features were unique content for their community.” The report speculates that Activision took a different route to keep up with their original content and bring in unique features to live up to the reputation of other Call of Duty Titles. COD: Mobile is bringing in more and more new features, from Gunsmith to Katana, everything is raising the quality of this game.

With PUBG Mobile banned in India and its humongous playerbase finding for a new home, its a big opportunity for games like Call of Duty: Mobile to capitalise on this situation and rise their ever increasing player base. Call of Duty evaded this ban with cutting off their links to any Chinese company and hence presumably will not get banned if the government decides to ban more apps in the future.

🔸GTA Online players on the PS4 will still be receiving $1,000,000 every month until the release of the game on the PS5 in 2021.
🔸Players must log in to the game at least once every month to claim the bonus.

GTA V was recently announced as a PS5 title that is supposed to be released on the next-gen console in the second half of 2021. In addition to GTA V receiving a next-gen treatment, GTA Online would be available as a standalone title on the PS5 and available for free for the first three months after release.

While this news wasn't received all that positively across the board as Rockstar had expected, they did kick in a great offer for GTA Online players on the PS4.

PlayStation Plus subscribers would receive a monthly bonus of $1,000,000 until the release of GTA V on the PS5 in 2021. PlayStation Plus is a subscription-based service on the PS4 that gives players the access to online multiplayer games, including GTA Online.

GTA Online still giving out monthly bonuses

Players who are wondering if the Monthly Bonus is still being given out, can be assured that the $1,000,000 will show up in their Maze Bank account. All that the players need to do is log in at least once each month.

This opens up a lot of possibilities for new players who find it hard to accumulate cash. With the $1,000,000, newer players will be able to buy various properties in GTA Online for activities such as Heists, or even start their own businesses.

Money is indeed a huge part of the GTA Online experience, and while the game gives enough options for players to make a bucketload of cash, it can be daunting for the newer players.

The monthly bonus will help attract newer players to the game as well as retain them until the game's eventual release on the PS5. To buy a property in the game, players can visit the Maze Bank Foreclosures website on their in-game phones.

The PUBG Mobile 1.0 beta update is going to release soon, and the developers have officially announced the release of the Erangel 2.0 map, which is the revamped version of the classic Erangel map.

PUBG Mobile: Erangel 2.0 official announcement

Erangel 2.0 is going to release on 6th August 2020, along with the PUBG Mobile 1.0 beta update. The map was announced in 2019 by PUBG Mobile and the players have been eagerly waiting for it to arrive.

And finally, the wait will be over as players will be able to play it in the next update. Here is the official announcement made by PUBG Mobile confirming the release of Erangel 2.0 in the upcoming update:

In this map, the landscape, buildings and map structure will be redesigned entirely, and the overall gaming experience will also be improved for players.

The map was, in fact, leaked a few days ago in the 1.0 version logo, due to a bug in Google Play Store.

As you can see in the logo, an Erangel 2.0 map can be seen clearly on the left side of the background. The patch notes and other features will be revealed once the beta version is released, and Sportskeeda will also provide you the direct download link for the same.

Google bans these apps for injecting adware, uninstall them right away

Android apps injecting pop-up ads on phones.

A total of 29 Android apps with over 3.5 million downloads on the Play Store have been discovered with adware.

Google has removed 29 apps from the Play Store which were found filled with adware. These Android apps had over 3.5 million downloads on the Play Store.

White Ops’ Satori threat intelligence team discovered these 29 apps as part of their “CHARTREUSEBLUR” investigation. The word blur in the codename of the investigation is due to the fact that most of the malicious apps were photo editing apps which had a blur feature. As for the word “chartreuse” the team just found it fun to say and that the liquor is tasty.

These Android apps were found running out-of-context (OOC) ads which are said to be used to avoid detection. After the user installs any of these apps, the launch icons would immediately disappear from the phone. This made it difficult for users to remove the malicious app from their phones.

ALSO READ: Google bans these apps for injecting malware

One such app with adware was the Square Photo Blur app. The Satori team tested this app and discovered a “hollow shell of an app” which managed to pass the Play Store security checks. The app obviously didn’t function as advertised and instead ran OOC ads on phones. Once the app was installed on the phone the launch icon disappeared and there was no “open” function on the Play Store either.

Ads that popped on up through these apps happened within intervals of only a few seconds. Also, almost every action the user performed on their phone triggered a code in the app for ads to pop-up. Some of these actions include unlocking the phone, uninstalling an app, charging the phone or even switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi. The ads pop up and occupy the whole screen of the phone. It’s not just ads though. The Square Photo Blur app even managed to launch an OOC web browser randomly.

Srvesports analysis...

29 Android apps have been identified with this malicious adware. But there could be more in the future. You can find the full list of apps here and uninstall them. The Satori team also advises to look out for hints like - reviews of the apps mentioning ads popping up all the time, apps disappearing after downloading it, a lot of 5-star reviews but recent ones are mostly 1-star, app doesn’t work as advertised, app received a lot of downloads in a very short time. Some of these points can act as indicators that the app is probably a malicious one.

Google recently removed 11 apps from the Play Store which contained the Joker malware. These apps have been lurking around since 2017. Hackers have managed to introduce new variants of the Joker malware in Android apps. The malicious apps are no longer there but they may appear again in the future.
