 GTA 5 is a fantastic game, but it is missing some nice features from GTA San Andreas.

Both games are the sacred cows of the GTA community. They offer a unique and exhilarating gameplay experience from top to bottom and are different enough that players can enjoy one more than the other. However, it would have been something if GTA 5 had some of the beloved features that made GTA San Andreas so great.

This shortlist isn't meant to dunk on either game; rather, it focuses on some neat features present in GTA San Andreas and absent in GTA 5. If it's missing in GTA 5, perhaps fans can also hope for some of these features to return in GTA 6 or a future GTA title.

Here's how you can download and play GTA V on your smartphone, explained in a few simple steps.

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V’s is one of the most popular video games currently available in the market. Since its launch, back in 2013, the fanbase appears to be growing each and every year. Recently Rockstar Games confirmed that due to the popularity, they will be launching an expanded version for the next-gen console, PS5. Sadly, the is not yet available for IOS or Android users like some of its predecessors. However, there is one way you can play GTA V on your phone, legally.

In order to play GTA V on your smartphone, you have to download ‘Steam Link’ on your smartphone. You can only play the game via Steam Link if you have GTA V installed via Steam, which is a video game digital distribution service. If you have the game installed already, here are a few steps that will help you play the game via Steam Link.

# Open the Steam Link app and go into ‘settings’ where you tap on the ‘computer’ option and then scan for devices in the Bluetooth range. You can also connect your PC which doesn’t have Bluetooth by tapping on the ‘other computer’ option. After that you will have to access the Steam app on your PC and click on settings > remote play > pair steam link followed by entering the four-digit code visible on your smartphone’s screen.

# When the pairing is complete, tap on the start playing option and your laptop/PC will automatically open the ‘Steam Big Picture Mode’.

# You will need to select GTA V from the library which contains all the games you own. Just tap on the ‘play’ button and you will be good to go. Similarly, you can play any game in your Steam library on your smartphone.

# Once the game is ready to run, you can either use touch controls to play it or connect any other controller you have.

Note: Your laptop must run the Steam app and the game all the time while playing it on your smartphone. Also, not all games support this feature.

GTA 5 may have been released back in 2013 but it still holds its ground against other modern titles due to the online mode, exciting storyline and the vast open world that players greatly enjoy. The game, just like its predecessor, was also an outright success. It garnered over $815 million in 24 hours of its release across the world, which roughly equates to 11.21 million copies.

The plot revolves around three protagonists- Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton and Trevor Philips- and players have to switch between the three of them regularly. 

With the rapid growth of the mobile industry, Rockstar Games have seized the opportunity to port several older GTA games on the mobile platform. The following games from the GTA franchise are available for purchase and download:

GTA 3

GTA: Chinatown Wars

GTA: Liberty City Stories

GTA Vice City

GTA San Andreas

However, no game from the HD Era has been ported for mobile.

Several websites have claimed that they can provide players with the APK file of GTA 5, leading many fans to wonder whether it is possible.

Despite all the claims regarding the GTA 5 APK, Rockstar Games have not ported the game officially. Downloading any such APKs will, therefore, carry a security risk.

The next big issue that disproves the above-mentioned claims is the fact that it is incredibly difficult to maintain stability when porting a game of this size on Android devices that have limited processing power compared to consoles and PCs. 

The GTA 5 APK is, therefore, fake as it is not officially available for mobile devices. This means players should try to stay away from such APKs.
